prepared, it can be added to Soups, Stews or even sauces. Another good way to enjoy this delicacy is by simmering the snails in peppered sauce and eating alone as an appetizer.Peppered snails would definitely get you taste buds watered.

When cooking snails, it’s best not to overcook it so it doesn't get too soft thereby losing that crunchy texture which is the best part. The average snail contains 80% water, 15% protein and 2.4% fat. It also contains essential fatty acids, calcium, iron, selenium; and magnesium. It’s also rich in many essential vitamins such as Vitamins A, E, K and B12 just mention a few.
INGREDIENTS
• ¼ cup Vegetable oil for frying
• 1 medium sized Red Onion, Sliced in rings
• ½ Seasoning cube, Crushed
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp. Tomatoes-pepper puree or pepper puree (Use either of the two)
• 20 Small Snails (Cleaned and washed with Alum Or most preferably use Lime)

Frying pan
Bowls for washing
PROCEDURES
1: Wash and place the snails in a medium sized pot. Add ½ tsp. salt with 1 cup of water and steam on medium heat for 10mins. Drain the water and set aside
2: In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil till hot. Add the Red onions and stir-fry for 1 minute.
3: Add the tomatoes-pepper or Pepper puree, Crushed seasoning, Pinch of salt and Stir-fry for 2 mins. Don't hesitate to add any other spices as long as you will enjoy it.
Step 4: Add the snails and stir to incorporate. Leave to simmer for 5 mins
Turn off the burner and garnish with green and red bell pepper.
Serve Hot.
