7 WAYS TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR KITCHEN


Welcome to a new week, still on our major topic for the month - THE KITCHEN.
This week we are going to look at how to take care of our office, yessss, I mean the kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home and the center of activities - but it gets dirty easily and when it's dirty unlike any other part of the house, it becomes irritating.

Here are some tips to a healthy and clean kitchen :

  1. Everything should have its position : When everything (pots,pans, utensils and so on) in the kitchen has its special position and it is returned to its position after use, the kitchen will be neat, well organized and things will be located easily.
  2. Have a wastebasket : There should be a bin for disposing all dirts from the kitchen and it must be disposed at least 3 times a week to avoid smelling and flies all over.
  3. Wash as you go : When cooking or after a meal make sure you wash all dish. Avoid accumulating them it makes the kitchen stink. If you have a sink, fill it with hot water and detergent at least once a week to kill all germs in there.i
  4. Label stuffs : This is very important, it enables anyone using your kitchen for the first time move around with ease. Label all container, can and bottles. It's for your own good because one day you may not be around. 
  5. Wash without season : Wash everything washable regularly, the aprons, towels, rags and so on. Make sure you have two of each of them. Make sure you have at least two of each of them so that you can be using one while the other is washed. 
  6. Sweep and mop : Sweep and mop the kitchen as often as possible. During major cleanings (lije weekends or anytime), dust the cabinets, cupboards, empty the refrigerator and clean it, clean the cookers (stoves, gas burners, charcoal burners and fireplace) and cobweb the kitchen room with a long broom. If rodents such as rats and insects are disturbing you, get insecticides and rat killers or traps but be very careful not to poison your food / foodstuff with it. 
  7. Watch yourself : Cleaning the kitchen starts from you and ends with you, please pay special attention to it. Wash your hands before and after all cooking session, cover your hair while cooking, don't cook in a dirty kitchen, don't cook with dirty utensils and any other thing that is unhealthy. Remember, nourishing and poisoning of your family lies in your hands.
